Nutritional Requirement of Angora Goats
The following information (kindly forwarded by Vicki Winley) is from Dr Mackie Hobson in South Africa he works for the SA Mohair Growers and is an expert in all things related to Angora Goats. The information was provided to a grower and this was what was said –
“Your grower over there also perhaps needs a yearly management plans for all stock in age groups to ensure that all drenching vaccinations and mineral are up to date as well as soil testing of property to find out what is missing as I well know at Esperance where I farmed was deficient in selenium and cobalt as well as iodine this grower needs to do some blood tests once soil test are done along with PM on kids to find out what they are lacking work with the Ag department vets could be helpful or not!”
This is all taken from the SA Mohair Growers association website ….to find experienced angora goat or just goat nutritionist who is interested in angora goats are few and far between.

MLA – Husbandry Schedule
There are many sources of information available on the internet relating to Angora goat husbandry. One of those is Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA). They have produced a suggested month by month list of tasks. This is a general list and may vary depending on personal preferences, seasonal variations and location. Here is a sample of the information available.
