Welcome to the Tasmanian Division of Mohair Australia Ltd. Membership includes stud breeders of Angora goats, commercial producers of mohair, industry associates and others with an interest in Angora goats.
The quality of the mohair produced in Tasmania is of a high standard and is evidence of the ability of Angora goats to adapt to a diverse range of climatic conditions.
Most of the mohair produced in Tasmania is sent to mainland Australia for sale. Mohair is also popular with local craftspeople who use it to make a variety of products.
